Get Off My Lawn

I can't tell if he's laughing or crying.

It appears that for most of the blogs I follow, I am unable to post comments. I have tried posting several times on several blogs over the past few days but they are not registering. I can “like” a post but cannot comment.Β A.D. Martin has said that my recent comment on his post went straight to spam. I contacted Akismet and inquired about this. If anyone has a useful suggestion, I’m all ears. So for those of you that have been denied my awesome wit and brilliant prose I want to assure you I haven’t been eaten by a dragon. Not yet, anyway. And I hope to have this problem resolved in the next couple of days.

One theory I have is that this is witchcraft and, rest assured, the guilty parties (and you know who you are) will be found and punished. I will not suffer those who lie with the devil!

  1. I read this and then went straight to my spam folder. Sure enough, you were there. But I’ve rescued you. You’re once again safe and sound on The Write Transition. Beyond that, you’re on your own. πŸ˜‰

  2. I have found that sometimes people have comments set to approve each one. Under settings, you have some choices. Sometimes if we don’t blog every day, we miss notifications. I have had this problem too, and especially I think I posted something, don’t see it, post it again… then am embarrassed. Not to worry. Building community isn’t that easy – or everyone would have done it by now. hugs, gerry

  4. Is it Chrome? Did you change any settings for your Chrome recently?

  5. I happily have not been denied the pleasure of your awesome wit and brilliant prose. HOWEVER, I did fish one of your comments out of my Spam folder the other day – did not mention it at the time so as not to make you paranoid or otherwise bothered. But if there are witches afoot….

  6. I rescued you from my spam folder. At least, I think I did. The witchcraft might still be in effect. Maybe your cat has something to do with it.

  7. So, in other words, you’re a tree that has fallen in the forest and you’re wondering if anybody heard you? I’ll have to go check my spam folder — not that I’ve been blogging much for you to comment on.

  8. Well, unless you’re now operating a website about hormone therapy or have the following email address … … and have thoughts on how to approve my SEO, you’re not in my Spam folder. Weird that it is happening to you on other people’s blogs. I blame sun spots.
